My fear of being true to who I am became my life’s compass.

I was transformed from being in denial of my truth, my purpose, and my heart’s desire when everything I have diligently built my life around left me feeling empty, lost, and in danger.

After dedicating my young adult years to seeking love and validation from others, I reached a point where I lost my sense of self, spiraled into depression, and worst of all, had unknowingly positioned myself as an open and willing prey to mental and emotional abuse.

Moving past a personal traumatic experience and witnessing my grandpa battle for his life in the hospital, I finally realized that life is fleeting and that I no longer wanted to live only to satisfy the expectations of the people around me; I wanted to live life for myself, as true to who I am while I still had the chance at experiencing life.

After taking many leaps of faith, engaging in continuous deep introspection, and confronting my deeply rooted fears, I have finally managed to listen in and lean into my true self and confront what my fear was shielding me from, rather than letting it hold me back.

And so I lean in on the gap between my current self and my authentic self — between my fear of rejection and my calling to serve and support soulful creatives who may be needing help in expressing their authentic selves, like how my younger self yearned for support a couple of years back.
